The bus trip along the water to Glenorchy

We caught the 7:27 bus from our accom $2 into Queenstown and met with the group.

Cant go without our morning coffee! We had issues finding coffee yesterday which was boxing day, lines were out the door in queenstown at every shop that was open!
Best Coffeeeeeee lelelellelel
Jumped on the bus to Glenorchy which was a 45min drive
The scenery was beautiful!
1st sheep sighting!

Exploring Glenorchy

Glenorchy is known for its gold mining and also the start of some famous walking tracks, Routeburn, Greenstone and Rees tracks being the main ones, also there are a lot of adventure activities on the Dart River

Made it to Glenorchy 45mins later
Wild lupins and anzac poppies
A cute little door hidden in a bush
A lot of the trails start from here which you can do and camp along the way
Some old stone farms in Glenorchy
When we got there we were one of the first to arrive so it was nice and quiet
A beautiful fir tree

Crossed Oxborne River on our way to the ziplines

We got to the zip line place and got into our sexy harnesses! We were taught how to “save ourselves” with the attachment on our belts – did some practice runs and got on our way
We hiked a good 20mins up to the first zip line, not really knowing or thinking what to expect
There were 8 ziplines in total, the first being 100m and 203m long and fast!
There were awesome walking tracks from one zipline to the next
Everyone waiting for their go
Hiking to the next zip line
Its started getting really pretty as we hit the river! The last 4 zips were flying right over the water and were so beautiful!
The colour of the water was so beautiful and blue
Getting ready to go over the river again
How beautiful are the colours!?
The sky cleared up and was beautiful blue again in the afternoon
Had a blast! Def good to know the height of the tallest zip line AFTER doing it

I fully recommend this company as it is a small business and the story behind how the owner set up the ziplines is just brilliant – the staff love their jobs and are really good at it
