Looking for a good café in Yerevan? Sloenka Coffee & Bakery combines freshly baked pastries, breakfast and coffee in a relaxed Yerevan café setting

Exploring the best coffee shops in Yerevan took us to Sloenka Coffee & Bakery, as this was a cafe I had passed by and was attracted by the colours and the vines and flowers on the outside of the windows and doorway, had it in my notes to go explore

Sloenka Coffee & Bakery is a relatively new Yerevan brand founded in 2023 and a cafe near Mashtots Ave

LOCATION

Located a block away from Cascade, its in a busy location on the main Mashtots Street

For travellers wondering where to get pastries in Yerevan, Sloenka offers European style croissants, cakes and other baked treats alongside its coffee menu.

This is the 2nd Sloenka branch

The building is historic and dates back to 1941, having been restored, its a perfect location for a coffee shop

Sloenka is found on Mashtots and has its doors open like arms embracing the passer by… encouraging them to buy their icecreams!

You walk into a pretty cool colourful and uniquely designed cafe

The seating areas are quirky and fun and seperated into 2 areas, we sat at the front area next to the gelato van on comfy couch seats, there are a few tables there along the wall where a few people were working, its a good place to work from as well

The tea and iced coffee was nice and served in a modern european style

All the sweets looked amazing!

They had a selection of takeaway meals and sandwiches (which is becoming a thing now in Yerevan thanks to all us westerners)

The menu you can find at the front at the register serving light food and meals

They have yummy looking gelato displayed at the front, italian style – got the eye of many passersby

I enjoyed the look and feel of the inside of the cafe

It had a different feel to it with the red squiggly things ands the plenty of colours, different from those new ultra modern cafes popping up in Yerevan which are beige white or cream only

The outside sitting area inviting your bum to sit down and enjoy the mish mash of cars and people passing by

The story behind Sloenka: The original Sloenka had is location at 22/3 Vahram Papazyan Street in Arabkir – but now is more a “cafe & gastro bakery” and roast their own coffee and they handmake their own sweets, cakes, pastries along side savory items, light meals and dishes

Sloenka Coffee & Bakery was trademarked 2 AUG 23 by Venda LLC & Giorgia Mazza of Ovada, italy

Venda dates back to 1999 in Yerevan as a tea and coffee importer and then started producing their own coffee and distributing European brands
