Cone heads of Alberobello ☺️ #alberobello #italy #trullo #trulli #nightexploring #wandering #europe_pics #marozzibus @marozzi_bus
Port of Giovinazzo - On the day I was here it was overcast and grey but damn it was still beautiful! I walked around throwing "ciao's" to the locals and catching them back 😜 but be aware that from 1-4pm the streets are empty as the locals go to their homes and relax with their families for a long long long lunch... So I started carrying my own lunch around everyday. Moral to the story... if you are hoping to find a restaurant at this time? All I'm saying is "good luck!" #nostress #giovinazzo #giovinazzoporto #italy #boats #italiancoast #fishingtown #fishingboats #europe

The colourful local homes of Brindisi and their tiny cars to match, wandering the residential areas #brindisi #italy #exploring #apulia #colourfulhomes #trenitalia @trenitaliafs_official #daytrip
A short time-lapse walk through my favourite residential part of Alberobello! 🚶🏽‍♀️#alberobello #italy #apulia #walking #exploring #residential #wandering #alberobelloexperience
Little town of Cone Heads ☺️👌🏼#alberobello #italy #apulia #unescoworldheritage #marozzibus @marozzi_bus #southernitaly
This little village of #Alberobello is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site and I can now see why... I absolutely loved getting lost in the small alleyways and was able to explore inside some of the abandoned Trulli! 🔦💡 These type of dry stone houses, known as "Trulli" were built back in the 16th c. mainly to avoid paying taxes as they could easily be demolished... The symbols painted on the roofs are of religious or mystical significance meant to protect the inhabitants... #italy #maze #apulia #marozzibus @marozzi_bus #italyinwinter #notourists #trulli #trullo
Even at night the old towns are fun to explore and get lost in! #molfetta #italy #puglia #trenitalia @trenitaliafs_official #narrowstreetsofcobblestone #daytrip #tunnels #maze
An overcast, rough but still a beautiful day wandering around Monopoli ~ with only around 49,000 people living here, it's a tiny little port town but one that has one of the most active Ports on the Adriatic! During summer, it's filled with Italian tourists who take advantage of the beautiful water and sunbake on the sands #monopoli #italy #wandering #trenitalia @trenitaliafs_official #beach #sand #aquawaters
Giovinazzo from the lighthouse looking back to the beautiful old town #italy #giovinazzo #puglia #oldtown #wandering #exploring #trenitalia @trenitaliafs_official #daytrip
Stepping back into the past ~ Lecce amphitheatre which was built during 2nd c. AD and seated 25,000 is at the heart of this beautiful old town. With a clash of different cultures and eras with over 30 Baroque style churches, a castle and a few Roman ruins, Lecce is a unique town with a lot to give! #lecce #italy #apulia #romanhistory #history #amphitheatre #baroque #piazzasantoronzo #trenitalia @trenitaliafs_official #daytrip #europe
The quiet and quaint streets of Lecce ~ fun to wander around and get lost in, always beautiful! #lecce #italy #europe #apulia #winterinitaly #daytrip #trenitalia @trenitaliafs_official #bicycle #purpleflowers
The ruins of a Roman Theatre of the Augustine period in Lecce ~ found in 1929 accidently when excavating the area, a historic monument that once used to sit 5000 people and entertain the public with comedians and theatrics of the time, now sadly sits hidden derelict amongst the surrounding residential buildings #lecce #historicmonuments #spotthecat #italy #provinceoflecce #apulia #daytrip #romantheatre #ruins #trenitalia @trenitaliafs_official #exploring #europetravel
Wandering the tiny streets of the old town of Barletta and stumble upon the beautiful Cathedral of Santa Maria Maggiore #barletta #italy #apulia #somuchhistory #daytripper #daytrip @trenitaliafs_official #trenitalia #blueskies #winterinitaly
A name I won't forget easily... Trani ~ a beautiful historic fishing port town, different from the other towns I've explored as the alleyways are all randomly thrown around and so many more not mapped out leading into courtyards... great place to get lost and accidentally wind up in some poor locals home, whoops! #trani #italy #puglia #daytrip #daytripper #trenitalia @trenitaliafs_official #smallaquacar

Life …

… SHOULD NOT BE A JOURNEY TO THE GRAVE WITH THE INTENTION OF ARRIVING SAFELY IN AN ATTRACTIVE AND WELL PRESERVED BODY, BUT RATHER SKID IN SIDEWAYS, CHOCOLATE IN ONE HAND, WINE IN THE OTHER, BODY THOROUGHLY USED UP, TOTALLY WORN OUT AND SCREAMING “WOO HOO WHAT A RIDE!”
