A very simple and cheap motel with all basics

We stayed here because it was right next door to the venue we were going to for a concert

THE ROOM

The room was simple yet comfy but the walls were realllllly thin so you can hear everything and including ppl walking past the front porch area as the door and windows are thin as well – so take earplugs!!!

The motel room felt like it was back in the 1970s from an old American movie 😉

THE PROPERTY

The motel and guesthouse are seperate – the guesthouse is in the main building

It ended up being a beautiful old building with so much old school character – this was the guesthouse area and we were in a seperate part on the other side of the property which were a few adjoined rooms and the “motel” area
The inside reception area, i liked the old school memrobilia and random items scattered around it gave it some personality

They also have a bar “Clarendon Bar” and a lounge with a fire

Plenty of parking either on the property on on the street

Location is great right in middle of high st of Katoomba

All in all – take earplugs – cheap accom with basics, guesthouse area might be better than the motel area which is ground floor and noisy

I liked the character of the house and there were many rooms to sit in and relax and attached to a restaurant / breakfast room area
