Made it to Dubai just before 5am – I really appreciate this airport because its an organised chaos flecked with gold and sparkles! so much going on here throughout the whole airport! Its never boring everytime I pass through, and another thing I love is all the different accents and languages I hear as I walk through..

The airport is so big that it took 30mins to get to GATE C and to my connecting flight

Palm trees! They even have palm trees inside the airport! Sydney is so boring in comparison 😦

The flight info board is next level, tells you how long it takes to get to the gates

Sat here until all the crowds started rushing in after 6am – check in was 7:30am so headed over to the gates

Boarding was at GATE C11 – quick check in with no delays

ZONE C called in first to board the plane as I was way at the back
I booked seat 86K – $20 extra payment for the seat, anything to charge us extra for ANY thing these days I swear!

Comfy large seats where you can even cross your legs
The flight in general was really smooth with no turbulence
Taking of from Dubai was interesting to look down over
Its all desert and dry looking land with mostly sandy coloured buildings

Dubai, not my type of city but they are very futuristic and trailing a lot of things here in terms of architecture and urban planning – It seems this whole “SMART” city stuff is being trailed here too

Concert jungle

Man made brilliance – gotta admit these islands are pretty cool

I take my own noise canceling headphones cos I dont like the ones they provide with those large earmuff looking things

Snack was some sort of wrap

Most of the flight it was dense cloud cover but finally the clouds moved away for a bit and got to see some beautiful european land!

Check out the farmland! so cool…

DINNER – was bloody terrific! White beans stew with barley and mushroom as the main – side of couscous pumpkin lentil salad and dessert was soya red pudding wih apricot compote and pistachio – also had vegan cheese with crackers and cashews – a fantasic meal! one of my favs on a plane actually

So excited to be in my favourite place in the world… EUROPE!

The 7hrs flew by pretty quickly, had a bit of a sleep but not as comfy as the other plane as all seats were full so no spare seat in the middle this time
