RATING – Im giving it a 3.5 star because of the great location and cheap price for overnight (even without amenities)

known as Wohnmobilstellplatz in German, this campsite is actually just in the carpark area of the stadium just on the outskirts of Coburg
Not flashy at all, just a few larger camper sized parking spots, we also had access to the Stadium hall to use their toilets but basically, it was literally just a place to camp overnight – no electricity – no water – no dumping of grey water etc
The location was pretty good actually as it wasnt too far walking into the town centre (in yellow) and Coburg castle is located in the larger green area – if you dont need any amenities then this is a good location to park overnight or a couple of nights
CLose to the action as the field was full and people and felt safe
There are 10 spots specifically for campervans but people were parking over carspots as well and in bus parks – no one really cared in any case
Large parking spots so it was easy to navitage and park
This area is also used by buses, it wasnt full when we were there so plenty of room
