I stayed at Major’s House Hotel for 1 night to attend the BBQ Festival 2026 in Stepanavan

Stepanavan is known for its mountain air, forests, and quiet natural beauty. In Soviet times it was one of Armenia’s most loved health resorts, where people came to rest and breathe fresh air.

LOCATION

Located on one of the main streets in the town but towards the residential side and the park so it was nice and quiet

It is surrounded by local homes and there is a supermarket 2mins walk which was perfect!

By Armenian standards I was really impressed by this hotel and gave it a 4 star

This hotel is one of the modern houses in the town and very much modernised and fitting in with the tastes of outside tourists

The bedroom was really nice and spacious with the tilted ceiling and a large couch opposite the bed

Plenty of space to move around for 2 ppl and the bed was very comfortable

No air con but the temperature is cooler in this part of the country so for summer it was ok for me

Breakfast included in the price and was a really lovely traditional Armenian meal with perfect mix of fresh veggies and choice of omlete or boiled eggs and coffee

The grass area which is nicely maintained and you can enjoy by playing games or sitting down on the grass

I really enjoyed my stay here! I would come back again because of the location and the comfort of the rooms and the breakfast was just perfect
