… ummmm wine overload!

Many different brands which I havent heard of and more things added to my list of things to do and try in Armenia lol

MARNUVA WINES
I love these guys story!
They did some research, went around Armenia to old homes and bought old wine Karas’ from the villagers and this is what they make their wines in now, the Karas’ just arent made the same as they used to be, so their wines have a very special taste – and you can definitely taste the difference!
Karas usually hold around 1200 litres the larger ones and the smaller around 300 litres so was very difficult for them to go around Armenia and find and transport them back

We tried 8 wines – 2 whites / 2 rose / light orange / dark amber / 1 red / 1 pomegranate
Usually, I always end up liking the dark red wines but THIS TIME… I was so confused because they were ALL amazing as each other!!

Its an organic wine so even with the amount of wines, it didnt give us that drunk feeling
Also the smells of all the wines were so floral and strong and you could actually smell the aromas in the wine

We tried a pomegrante wine which was incredible and actually tasted like pomegranate and not just sugar which is usually loaded into the wine, it really was a treat to have some

He experiments a lot with his wines and once left wine out in the Karas in the cold to freeze and test to see what the wine out be like – the cold also makes the alcohol levels higher

Ended up being a very interesting night, no expectations at all and it went above and beyond, a small wine bar, an unknown wine maker made an AWESOME night!
