Ive always wanted to stay at this resort as ive seen the building a few times and always loved the architecture of it, so I was pretty excited to finally be back and chose to stay here to experience it

The Grand Resort in Jermuk is an eye catching red tuff building with strength & character!

Found in the middle of the town of Jermuk, you CANT miss it – if you are seeking a relaxing retreat where you can indulge yourself, then this hotel offers modern amenities along with traditional Armenian hospitality

There are many different types of rooms to choose from:
King / Twin (w. w/o Balcony) – King Suite / Presidential Suite

They have an indoor swimming pool, spa and a fitness centre for adults only, so if you want to relax without the children around you have that option

The grand resort from the carpark

Great location which was smack bang off the Main Street of Jermuk and close to the shops and driving distance to the waterfalls

We walked to the waterfall which was much more fun! It takes around 20-30mins

If you are looking to get to the waterfall AND If you want an adventure and are mobile and fit enough for climbing down steep and rickety metal staircase, I really recommend walking to Jermuk Hotel and finding at the back of the hotel, these stairs – you won’t regret it! (or maybe you will lol but don’t blame me!) for us, it was half the fun of getting to Jermuk Waterfall

Walk this way to the stairs…

AND THIS IS WHAT I MEAN BY “RICKETY” & “ADVENTURE” … boy was it awesome…

The entrance lobby was grand, the resort itself is not exactly this day and age modern but I like it as it has a calming look and effect as you walk into the foyer area through the revolving doors from the carpark

The reception area – nice pops of green foliage is displayed around the sitting areas, so it was nice and private if you wanted to have a sit down and talk on the phone or have a coffee or drink
Leading into the restaurant was a hallway that goes past a few fridges that sell all types of food if you feel hungry at nights or they haven’t fed you enough with their awesome food buffet
The bar area right behind the reception was funky and set up for those who want to buy drinks and have a big night
Wines beers and spirits for sale and the bar seemed to be stocked and ready for use!

There were plenty of sitting areas in the large foyer, this area is right outside the restaurant room so you can bring your food out here if you choose as the restaurant can get noisy

The large dining room where breakfast, lunch and dinner is served
The buffet dinner – There is a very large selection of food which you can serve yourself, hot as well as cold foods are available and plenty of bread and drinks as well – black instant coffee is available and selection of teas
my yummy vegan dinner – I enjoyed every meal here, fresh vegetables and the staff were lovely
The salad bar – fresh veggies and always kept topped up
The hallway leading to the rooms, clean and calming colours
The 2nd level bridge going above reception connecting both sides of the foyer area
The bedroom – we had a King room without balcony – the window was large though so plenty of fresh air came into the room

The map of our wing of the resort – we were facing the parking lot, the rooms with balcony face the back of the resort which looks out to the park and water that flows past down the stream

The minibar in the room and safe
The bathroom was large and had plenty of room to move as well as clean towels
There were plenty of toiletries supplied and if you forgot something they encouraged you to ring reception and ask for whatever you needed
The comfy robes – many people walking around the resort and on the lifts up and down the elevator to the spa and indoor pool

The massage list for the spa

Reception area in the morning with the beautiful sun shining in

Breakfast the following day was served between 8 and 11am and was a typical armenian spread which was awesome to see instead of the western equivilent

The breakfast room
A selection of Hams and cheeses for breakfast
Salads starters and behind that oats and porridge and hot heals of eggs and potatoes
My salad, jams and fruits and of course hot coffee!
From the kitchen area balcony – you can access this area via the restaurant

I suggest to take a walk around and enjoy the fresh air and the sound of the water flowing past

Behind the hotel is a lovely park which you can explore as well – birds twittering is calming and beautiful, if you can sit on the balcony, do so πŸ™‚
The Parking lot and view from our room
The spa and pool area downstairs – adults only area
With a medical spa area and pools and massage palours

I highly recommend staying in this amazing tuff stone resort, the service is nice and typically Armenian, the food is fresh and very filling and the rooms are comfortable and has everything needed – the spa and pool area is nice and clean for all and if you want to spend the extra money on a massage or spa treatment, you can do so here
