A quick and easy flight to Yerevan

Easy check in process from Sofia International airport

NOTE: please give extra 20mins if using metro to get to airport to transfer from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 (international) via the free shuttle bus

Flight details

The cheapest transfer to the airport from city centre yet! 1.60bgn via the metro and took 30mins plus 15mins shuttle bus between airport terminals (had to wait for the shuttle)

You can purchase your ticket from either the machine at the station or from the ticket desk
Metro is clean and spacious
You get to Terminal 2 metro station and walk past terminal 2 entrance to the shuttle bus area with the yellow zig zag lines and wait for the free shuttle

The shuttle service takes only 5mins to the international airport

Terminal 1 is a very small airport! There are only a few checkin gates (i think around 20) and all flights check in from the same terminals so each flight has a go to line up

You will need to wait your turn to check in and sometimes 2 flights are checking in at the same terminals

I suggest climbing the stairs to the 2nd level above costa coffee and keep a look out from there
On the departure board under “remarks” keep an eye out for “check in” and then you can go and line up

There are a few gates there and a cafe plus a small duty free shop – not many seats but it looks like they time the flights and flow of people well

The priority line for wizz was short – but you have to wait on the bus for everyone to scan through anyways lol

And on our way to board…
The flight was full and was good to have the free option to check my trolley luggage in as there is never enough overhead space for everyones luggage

The flight back was 2hrs 40mins

All in all a great experience with WIZZ from Sofia international airport
