DEPARTURE LOCATION

The usual starting point is:

Ross Smith Ave, Sydney Airport, Sydney, AU 2020

GOOGLE LOCATION:

https://goo.gl/maps/he4dV8vQVVJ1p3nQ6

The location had temporarily changed to Bankstown Airport instead of Sydney international Airport
Parking is located at the back – nicely organised info from Mark with location and directions with pics included

The good thing about the change of location was that there was heaps of parking at Bankstown airport and no need to worry about time limits or parking fees

The Black Ops van was waiting outside the hangar

The day was hot, windy and beautiful!!

We had our briefing in the van at the airport and we were fitted with our very small life jackets

We had a good chat with out pilot and our little group of 4

Mark checked the helicopter making sure everything was perfect

Our pilot, Mark, has been doing this for 25 years! 8000 plus hrs flying and he loves every second of it!

Glad I wasnt flying this thing!
Check out the old school controls, how awesome is that!?
So, I was the first one to get on the helicopter and get my seat belt buckled in – at this point im not sure how im gonna feel as this is when I noticed there were NO doors on this thing!
After we all got buckled in, we took off about 1m high and set off to the helipad to take off

It really is small and cramped and if you’re over 6ft you will have your knees to your chin! 🤣 Still would be fun though!

I started screaming with excitement as we took off higher and higher!

We had headsets on but I don’t think Mark heard as he’s probably disconnected all mic’s due to people screaming constantly 😅 we communicated to Mark to show we were ok via buttons at the back seats

Something that I thought would be an absolutely scary feeling was more exciting!

We flew along Paramatta River until we got to the city

We were going up to speeds of 215kms above the city – it was so exilirating!

The views towards the city flying over homebush

The wind was blowing through my hair and hearing the choppers blades so loudly was an awesome feeling!! I was smiling from ear to ear the whole time 😃

My foot barely in the chopper took a bit of getting used to!

We were absolutely so lucky with the beautiful hot weather we had for the day! ☀️

Loving every second! And thankful for that one tiny seat belt which held me in on those deep turns! 😂
Seeing the Harbour from this height and with the wind rushing all around me, the loud swooshing of the blades and the chopper not having any doors… cant explain the feeling! It was just so surreal and fun!
The tiny boats moored in the harbour looked like little toys, was a beautiful shot from above!
We saw climbers walking over the bridge looking like little ants!
Sailing boats were zig zagging across the water
Flying over the piers
Sydney really showed a beautiful day today!
An awesome shot of the city and the Opera House

I dont think i can recommend this experience enough!! Something that I thought would be so scary actually turned out to be extremely exciting instead! I landed on such a high!

Its a bit on the expensive side, but in my opinion, its a great experience any adrenaline junky would love!
