The walk to the historic centre of Toledo was beautiful! Took me close to an hr as I was stopping and taking in the scenery and taking some photos

A beautiful 30min walk with views from every angle!

Note: It’s an uphill climb to get to the old town centre, so if you don’t have a backpack it’s going to be tough as there are stairs and hills all along – many people caught the bus in from the train station which is another option

As I walked up from the station, the first trying I saw was this hugeeeee castle situated right across from the hotel I was staying at!
Sercotel Hotel – I was totally pleased with my choice as soon as I set eyes on it!
A bit of a modern twist to the reception area – everyone was nice and friendly and English speaking
My room on the top floor and facing towards the city – note: you need to ask for a room with a view (pay extra it’s worth it!) As there are rooms looking out towards the castle side and the main road
Nice and clean and spacious
Huge room with 2 comfy single beds
Large wardrobe and plenty of desk space and places to put luggage
And the viewwwww! So worth paying the extra for this view it really is gorgeous day and night!
I had my coffee table all set as soon as I arrived to take in this view and relax! Just wow!
Toledo cathedral stands out among the buildings
The interesting layout of the hotel
The corridors leading to the rooms
Medieval style furnishings all around the hotel
The back of the hotel – my room is the top floor on the furthest right

4.5 stars for the view and location!!

I highly recommend this hotel! I absolutely loved it and it was one of the highlights of staying in Toledo – I do advise to stay at least 1 night and not to do just a day trip from Madrid as there is so much to see in this little town!

Stay here! You won’t be disappointed
