Rating: 3 out of 5.

One of the few hotels (if not the only one) in the old town area

Reasonably priced (expensive side) and right on the outskirts of the old town overlooking the old fort walls so its in an interesting location with great views!

On booking.com its known as a 4 star but I would say 3 star in my opinion – the service is a little lacking where we had to ask for a few things to be sent to our room, teaspons never showed up, we asked for scissors, they never showed up either, then days later we rang again only to be told they dont have any on the premises

The rooms were really nice! Comfy beds and pillows, everything that you could need

There are also man ways they can upgrade the customer / tourist experience, they only have a pricesheet for private tours (no group) also they didnt have a description of the tours so we had no idea where they went until we googled it – there are so many missed opportunities here if someone wanted to put the time and effort into the tourist side of things

The funny thing is, they charge you the total amount of the stay as soon as you walk through the door so your handing over you credit card (when they have alredy charged your card and amount is “pending” but they make you scan and sign again so it was confusing) also a 5000PHP deposit on the room, so you already feel like they have taken your clothes off your back and that youve potentially ruined their room (lol! exaggeration i know i know :P) so the experience starts off on the wrong foot IMO (Ive stayed at MANY hotels & hostels in 82 countries and so far havent had this type of experience, I prefer when they charge at the end when you settle the total bill and say goodbye on that note)

BREAKFAST

I really enjoyed the breakfast but mainly because of the salads and fruits

Fruits were 2 choices, watermelon and pineapple and salads were the same every day

Hot foods were eggs, sausages, meats, rice both garlic and plain and vegetables

Breads and sweet – white and wholemeal slice / local filipino rolls / fluffy pancakes (these were my fav!)

The breakfast was included – usual buffet (no soy milk!)
The italian restaurant “Raffaels” on level 3
The view from level 9 rooftop bar and restaurant

The hotel is known for a location to watch the sunsets which are absolutely beautiful over the bay
